Nach dem Lehramtsstudium zunächst im kulturellen Underground in Erscheinung getreten als Komponist und Akteur im politischen Kabarett „FORTSCHROTT“, Arbeitsfelder waren die Strasse, die Demonstration, das Kulturfestival, Brokdorf, Startbahn West – kann man in den Geschichtsbüchern nachlesen.
Dann Komponist und Akteur in der legendären Berliner Underground-Musicaltruppe „COLLEGE OF HEARTS“. Mit unseren Aufführungen waren wir stilbildend für die Entwicklung eines „Neuen Deutschen Musicals“, frech, schnell, kabarettistisch und mobil (grösste Erfolge: KING KURT und BLUTIGER HONIG).
Parallel dazu Arbeit an den öffentlichen Theatern: Deutsches Theater, Berliner Ensemble, Maxim-Gorki-Theater, Kommödie am Kudamm in Berlin und zahlreiche Theater im deutschsprachigen Gebiet.
Zentrum der Aktivität wurde dann die Neuköllner Oper in Berlin. Mit 12 Premieren im Jahr die aktivste Kammeroper Berlins (300 Plätze). Zusammen mit dem Autor und Regisseur Peter Lund entstanden eine Reihe sehr erfolgreicher Musicals, die weniger dem amerikanischen Musical, als mehr der europäischen Musikkomödie bzw. Operette verpflichtet sind. Deren grösster Erfolg „DAS WUNDER VON NEUKÖLLN“ (140 Vorstellungen) wurde 1999 zum Musical des Jahres gekürt.
Opernausgrabungen bzw. –neubearbeitungen (jeweils Textfassung und musikalische Einrichtung): LA SORELLA AMANTE von Joh. Adolf Hasse (Friedrich Luft Preis 2001), TOM JONES von J.J. Philidor und L`ELISIR D´AMORE von Donizetti. Jüngste Produktionen: ORLANDO von G.F.Händel (Wiederaufnahme Okt.2007) und MAJA UND CO. mit Musik von Offenbach.
